Ms. Jocelyn Smith, Principal
Ms. Smith is a dedicated educational leader with a strong growth mindset. She seeks to prepare students for the challenges of working in the 21st century and motivates them to become independent lifelong learners. Ms. Smith previously served as an assistant principal at North ÐÓ°É Elementary in JPS. In that role, she was responsible for providing leadership in building level strategic planning, supporting site-based management processes, evaluating building personnel, and supervising all areas of building operations, including facilities, transportation, and budgets. She also coordinated and conducted professional development programs aimed at increasing student achievement. Her contributions in these areas, helped the school's accountability rating to increase by a full letter grade in one school year.
Ms. Smith holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Elementary Education K–8 and a master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision from ÐÓ°É State University. She participated in the Executive Development Program of the National Institute for School Leadership and has served as a presenter for Greene Education Services and the ÐÓ°É Public Schools Parents Conference.
