School Feeder Patterns

  • JPS schools are organized into feeder patterns to ease students' transition from elementary school to middle school and from middle school to high school. A feeder pattern consists of all the elementary schools and middle schools whose students feed into a particular high school.

Schools within a feeder pattern also work together to isolate trends in instruction and make decisions within the feeder pattern to better serve the needs of students. This includes sharing and reviewing data together to determine the strengths and weaknesses of instructional programs. This closer communication and collaboration also creates a sense of community within the schools in the feeder pattern and promotes increased parent involvement from kindergarten through grade 12.
